The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past expansion announced

CD Projekt Red has announced Songs of the Past, a third expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, co-developed with Fool’s Theory.

Geralt returns

Songs of the Past will place players back in the role of Geralt of Rivia for a new adventure. It is the first newly announced full expansion for The Witcher 3 in many years.

Platforms and development

The expansion is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. CD Projekt Red is working with Fool’s Theory, a studio that includes developers with experience on the original game.

The announcement gives a 2027 release year but no exact day. CD Projekt says more information will be shared in late summer 2026, so Game Harbor will keep the listing as a year-only release until a firm date is announced.
